The market for solid state lighting (LED) is booming right now. However, assembly and repair of these PCB's presents very unique challenges as compared to standard SMT. From the convex top, soft gel dome and aluminum clad substrate, these boards are very difficult to process. This class combines both lecture and hands on rework to give the student maximum benefit and a thorough knowledge of how avoid the pitfalls and build high reliability solid state assemblies.
