IPC Certified Solder Training
The training CTI provides in the SMT, PTH and Lead Free areas, is backed with more than 20 years of experience in the electronic circuit board manufacturing field. Our staff of IPC Certified Trainers is available to assist with all your solder training needs. We offer training in the IPC-610 revision E, JSTD-001 Revision E, IPC 7711/7721 Rework and Repair, plus several CTI designed solder certification classes. (Down-level revision classes can be taught if needed.) Being one of the few Official IPC Certified Training centers in the USA, we offer instructor training in the IPC 610, JSTD-001 and IPC-7711/7721 programs.
Circuit Technology, Inc. offers certifications in our custom designed solder training courses as well as Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) and Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certifications in IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC 7711/7721. The 610 and JSTD-001 have been upgraded to the Revision E to include the lead free soldering criteria and as a result we cover lead free soldering requirements in all our classes.
Our CTI Certified SMT solder training course provides the student with exposure to cutting edge SMT components such as castellated terminations, BGA/CSP's, fine pitch QFP's and many other commonly seen and some unusual components for actual hands on rework. The CTI Certified PTH training sessions give students hands on exposure to the real world challenges when using the Pin Through Hole technology. Students install and remove a wide range on through hole components, resistors, capacitors, diodes, gold tinned transistors and Integrated circuits. This solder training session also includes a functional circuit that the students build and are evaluated on the functionality of the circuit as well as the quality of the solder joints.
Lead-Free Solder Training
Our new and improved Lead Free Solder Training gives students hands-on experience with lead free components, lead free solders and different types of lead free circuit boards. The students attending this solder training course can experience first hand the differences that lead free soldering brings to the industry. This solder training also covers the IPC 610 E and J-STD-001 E lead free solder criteria to help the students further understand the inspection criteria as it applies to the lead free solder joints. Additional discussions include the changes that must occur in the automated production lines to accommodate a change to lead free.
Custom Classes and Consultations
All of our training classes can be taught onsite at your facility if needed. We can customize most of the classes to accommodate special requirements that you may have. Obviously for the IPC certified classes we must follow IPC guidelines, but at the same time with our vast experience with IPC and knowledge of the real world of soldering we are usually able to adapt these classes to meet your specific needs. CTI will customize courses for specific needs as requested. In addition, we also offer consulting services in all areas of the electronic assembly, repair, rework, and modification process.
